REI Circle's Privacy Statement

REI Circle understands that privacy online is important to Site Users. This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to both Visitors (those who visit without registering) and Members (those who register as members) of the Site, collectively referred to as “User”.

Any User information REI Circle collect is considered private and shall not be used or shared, except as permitted herein. Additionally, REI Circle does not rent, lease or sell User information to any third party, except as disclosed herein. The following policy statement summarizes REI Circle's protection and use of any personal information provided by User.

Personally Identifiable Information

Personally Identifiable Information refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, website address, email address. Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual User) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.

Information Collected by REI Circle

REI Circle requires basic profile information from User from several areas of the REI Circle site including the 'New User Registration' page where User's name, email address (required) and street address, telephone number, fax number, company website (optional) are collected.

Use of Information Collected

REI Circle utilizes email as a primary communication channel with User. As a registered User, you hereby acknowledge and grant REI Circle the permission to communicate with you via email for any purposes REI Circle determines to be relevant including, but not limited to, sending self-publishing and confirmation emails, authenticating user accounts, subscription forum services, system messages, product updates, service announcements and marketing messages. REI Circle may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Users in response to specific inquiries, to provide requested information, or.

Personally Identifiable Information may be used to contact User for the purpose of research, product development, new service information and updates or marketing announcements. User search activity is collected and analyzed and may be utilized to help REI Circle better understand its User's needs in order to customize the Site, improve its product and service offerings. IP addresses, ISPs, and browser types may be collected to analyze trends, administer the Site, track User's use, and gather broad demographic information.

Use of Email Tools

You may NOT use the email address found on listings and User’s profile to send spam (i.e. unsolicited commercial email) or otherwise send content that would violate REI Circle's Terms and Conditions. If you send a message through the Site to an email address that is not registered in on the Site, REI Circle do not use that email address for any purpose other than to automatically send a one-time email as part of the service to our User.

Shared information

Though REI Circle makes every effort to preserve User privacy, REI Circle may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein REI Circle believes in good faith that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served. REI Circle will also disclose Personally Identifiable Information when reasonably necessary to protect the safety of our User. Unless specified in this policy statement, REI Circle does not share individual user search activity information and such activity information remains private to the individual user and to REI Circle.

REI Circle shares User information on several areas of the Site, including, but not limited to, contact information on ad postings, contact information such as email, address, website of Service Providers, Username and public profile. REI Circle allows User to share contact information with one another. Service Providers agree to share their contact information and allow User to view their contact information via the Marketplace or via links made available to User on a listing.

From time to time, REI Circle may obtain information from third party providers. It is our goal to only contact individuals who REI Circle believe may have a legitimate business interest in REI Circle based on their participation in other organizations or websites, and who have indicated a willingness to be contacted for this purpose. While REI Circle endeavors to work with other sites and companies with a similar respect for user privacy, REI Circle cannot be responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

Please be aware that in the event REI Circle merges with a third-party, or in the event all or substantially all of REI Circle's assets are acquired by a third party, User information, including personally identifiable information, will be shared and/or transferred to such third party. The information may only be used or shared by such third parties for the primary purpose for which the information was originally collected. If such third parties, or if REI Circle for its own business needs, desire to use the personally identifiable information for another purpose, you will be notified prior to the information being used for a new purpose, and you will have the opportunity to opt out of such new use of your personally identifiable information.

Security of personal information

REI Circle's clients and their personal information are considered to be REI Circle's greatest asset and thus their privacy is treated with the utmost regard and respect. REI Circle values and respects your privacy. REI Circle takes every reasonable precaution to secure personal information within both its computers and its physical premises. All of our employees are familiar with our security policy and practices. All information collected on the Site is securely stored and is not accessible to third parties and to a limited number of qualified employees.

REI Circle follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once REI Circle received it. However, no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is completely secure. While REI Circle take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering and break-ins, and REI Circle cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and REI Circle will not be liable to User for any such occurrences.

Cookies

IP address and cookie log data may be used to analyze traffic flows and enable us to track and target the interests of our User preferences and to enhance the experience on our site.

 If you select the "Remember Me" function on the REI Circle website, REI Circle will store a persistent cookie on your hard drive which allows you to bypass the login requirement each time you access the site.

Opting-out, editing, updating or deleting personal information

REI Circle will use best efforts to honor User requesting to opt out of marketing messages, but under no circumstances will REI Circle have any liability for sending any email to its registered User.

User who do not wish to receive marketing emails including REI Circle promotional emails or sponsor emails are requested to contact REI Circle at info@reicircle.com, and/or our vendors and affiliated agencies by responding by following instructions for opt-out option. REI Circle also send our User site and service announcement updates. Users will be unable to unsubscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about service notices and responsibilities.

REI Circle also offers the opportunity to "opt out" of receiving information or being contacted by us or by any agency acting on our behalf.

You may correct or update your personally identifiable information by making the change on your User profile page by emailing us at info@reicircle.com. Additionally, REI Circle provides User with a mechanism to delete/deactivate Personally Identifiable Information from the Site's database by updating the User profile or by contacting info@reicircle.com. However, because of backups and records of deletions, it may be impossible to delete a User's entry without retaining some residual information

Changes to this Privacy Statement

REI Circle reserves the right to modify this privacy statement at any time. REI Circle will post those changes to this privacy statement. It is your responsibility to review our privacy policy frequently. REI Circle will let our User know about changes to our privacy policy by posting such changes on the Site. However, if REI Circle are changing our privacy policy in a manner that might cause disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information that a User has previously requested not be disclosed, REI Circle will contact such User prior to the information being used for a new purpose, and you will have the opportunity to opt out of such new use of your personally identifiable information.
